Ilhan Omar Believes Sexual Assault Claims Against Joe Biden, Will Still Vote for Him [VIDEO]

*Minnesota Congresswoman Ilhan Omar has made clear that she believes Joe Biden sexual assault accuser Tara Reade, but she will still vote for him over Trump in November.

In an interview with the Times of London, Omar said “I do believe [Tara] Reade,” when asked about accusations against Biden by his ex-senate staffer.

Earlier this year, Reade came forward with her tale of being sexually assaulted by Biden in 1993, saying she waited decades to speak her truth because she kept “chickening out” of making formal complaints, per Newsweek.

Omar was hoping Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders would win the Democratic primary, but after he dropped out in April, Biden is her only choice for president.

“I do believe Reade. Justice can be delayed, but should never be denied,” she told the Times.

As noted by The Daily Mail, Reade claims Biden pinned her against a wall, reached under her skirt and assaulted her when she worked as an aide in his Senate office over 20 years ago.

Biden has denied Reade’s allegations, and said in an interview with MSNBC that he doesn’t even remember her.

He also noted that anyone who believes her allegations “probably shouldn’t vote for me.”

“Well, I think they should vote their heart and if they believe Tara Reade, they probably shouldn’t vote for me. I wouldn’t vote for me if I believed Tara Reade,” Biden said. “Look at Tara Reade’s story. It changes considerably. And, I don’t want to question her motive, I don’t want to question anything other than to say the truth matters. This is being vetted, it’s been vetted, and people, scores of my employees over my whole career. This is just totally, thoroughly, completely out of character. And, the idea that in a public place, in a hallway, I would assault a woman? I mean, it’s just — I — anyway, I promise you. It never happened.”

Meanwhile, Reade has been dropped by her attorney after new information about her work history raised eyebrows. The lawyer, Douglas Wigdor, said in a statement that his decision was “by no means a reflection on whether then-Senator Biden sexually assaulted Ms. Reade.”

He also attacked the media coverage of Reade.

“Much of what has been written about Ms. Reade is not probative of whether then-Senator Biden sexually assaulted her, but rather is intended to victim-shame and attack her credibility on unrelated and irrelevant matters,” Wigdor’s statement continued. “We have and will continue to represent survivors regardless of their alleged predator’s status or politics.”
