CLIPS: Ahmaud Arbery’s Mom Wanda Cooper-Jones and Her Attorney on ‘Tamron Hall’ (Watch)

Tamron Hall from her home in New York speaks with Wanda Cooper-Jones via “Cyber Hall” on Monday’s “Tamron Hall”

*On the Monday, May 18th edition of “Tamron Hall,” Wanda Cooper-Jones, mother of 25-year-old Ahmaud Arbery, who was gunned down while jogging in Georgia earlier this year, joined Tamron to discuss the latest developments in the case.

Cooper-Jones shared why she doesn’t think she’ll ever watch the widely shared video of her son’s last moments, as well as her reaction to former President Barack Obama mentioning Ahmaud’s killing during his recent virtual HBCU commencement address and why she doesn’t think the COVID-19 pandemic had anything to do with the delay in arresting the two suspects.

Wanda’s attorney, Lee Merritt, also appeared on the show to explain why he thinks the man who recorded the video may have been involved and what happens next. Merritt also mentioned his suspicion that the man who captured the now viral video of Ahmaud’s killing may have been more than just a witness saying, “He recorded from a very close proximity. According to his attorney, he was home one minute and within minutes he was behind Ahmaud Arbery with the cell phone recording his ambush. His response to this very loud and violent death — shotgun shots repeatedly — and someone being murdered in front of him was silence. He just kept recording. You didn’t hear him gasp. He didn’t cut off the camera. He didn’t intervene. He didn’t honk his horn. And we believe that’s because he knew what was about to happen and he played a role in it.”
