*Questlove has teamed up with the Food Network to host a charitable, virtual dinner party called Questlove’s Potluck on Thursday, May 28.

The event will bring together the musician’s famous friends who are sheltering at home amid the COVID-19 crisis, including Ashley Graham, Eva Longoria, and George Lopez, per PEOPLE. The stars will share their favorite dishes and drinks while raising awareness and money for America’s Food Fund.

“This was a dream two-and-a-half weeks ago,” Questlove tells the publication. The idea came to him after numerous zoom dinner parties and celebrations, and was partly inspired by his book Mixtape Potluck Cookbook. “I wondered if I could turn an aspect of my book into a special where people bring dishes over virtually. I also wanted to challenge my guests to create dishes for under $25 for practicality’s sake since we’re living in this difficult era.”

“During these challenging times, food has been something that brings people together,” said Courtney White, President of the Food Network. “When Questlove shared his idea, inviting some of his closest friends to participate in a virtual dinner party supporting America’s Food Fund, an initiative working to make sure that food is available to so many in need, we knew we wanted to be first at the table, to see what each guest would be cooking.”

Additional stars confirmed for the potluck party are Bun B., Hannibal Buress, Zooey Deschanel and Jonathan Scott, Tiffany Haddish, Amy Schumer, Kenan Thompson, Tariq Trotter, Gabrielle Union, Olivia Wilde, and Roy Wood Jr., the report states.

Questlove will only be hosting, not cooking.

“I’m a little too wild and experimental with my dishes,” he says. “I’m the guy that’s trying to find how to make ghost peppers and vanilla extract work in my morning cereal.”

In related news, Questlove, Ahmir Thompson (Black Thought), and Tarik Trotter have signed a three-year first look deal with Universal Television Alternative Studio and Universal Television.

The deal will cover the development of specials, scripted and unscripted programming across TV and digital content platforms, per shadowandact.com.

“This deal is very important to us as we’ve been content producers and storytellers for our entire career,” said Thompson in a statement. “A significant investment from Universal Television Alternative Studio and Universal Television in our vision allows us to share these stories on a much larger scale. Tarik and I see this as the next chapter to our careers, and we are very involved in the entire process. I’m directing, Tarik is writing and we both are producing.”

“Many of our initial projects have been music-centric content, and one of our goals is to become the premiere hub for music storytelling – a safe space for these stories to be shared across a variety of platforms,” said Trotter. “Eventually we will expand outside of music with our stories. However, as we all know, every story has a rhythm and Two One Five Entertainment will harness that rhythm and create well-produced, compelling content.”
