*Since news hit that Black folks are predominately the group of people largely affected by Coronavirus and dying in record numbers from it, community activists are making it a point to speak to those highly affected.
That means that young people especially are in harm’s way. And Rapper and entrepreneur Killer Mike has appealed to the younger population by launching a campaign that speaks directly to them, especially in Georgia where the state is open for business as usual despite rising Coronavirus numbers.
He teamed up with DeKalb CEO Michael Thurmond to spread the message: “Stay home, if you can. Mask up, if you can’t.”
