*With the coronavirus stopping their school year on a dime, 13 presidents of Historically Black Colleges and Universities had time on their hands to participate in the #DontRushChallenge, one of TikTok’s many viral sensations.

Set to the song “Don’t Rush” by Young T & Bugsey, the challenge involves multiple people filming before and after shots of themselves getting glammed up.

The HBCU HBICs kick off the challenge with Bennett College’s Dr. Suzanne Walsh. Among the other presidents featured are Fisk’s Dr. Kevin Rome, Paul Quinn College’s Dr. Michael Sorrell and Livingstone College’s Dr. Jimmy R. Jenkins, Sr. Their goal, they said, was to let students know that while the coronavirus pandemic has them apart, they are still connected in school pride.
