Comedian Michael Che Reveals His Grandma Died from Coronavirus: ‘I’m Just Mad’

Michael Che

*The grandmother of “Saturday Night Live” star Michael Che died from coronavirus on Sunday.

The comedian announced the sad news on his Instagram page, Page Six reports.

“Hi. I’m Michael Che, from TV. Last night my grandmother passed away from the coronavirus,” he wrote. “I’m doing ok, considering. I’m obviously very hurt and angry that she had to go through all that pain alone. But I’m also happy that she’s not in pain anymore. And I also feel guilty for feeling happy. Basically the whole gamut of complex feelings everybody else has losing someone very close and special. I’m not unique. But it’s still scary.”

He then touched on the conspiracy theory that 5G networks cause the virus, writing, “I actually believe this is 5G poisoning. And not because I’ve done any research on this, or even understand what 5G really is.”

“I don’t know if I’ll lose someone else to this virus. I don’t even know if I’ll be lost to this virus. Who f—— know? I shouldn’t curse,” he wrote. “I’m just frustrated, cause there’s so much we still don’t know about it.”

He added, “I need a better story. I’m just not willing to accept that right now. F— THAT. I need a better story. I know, I shouldn’t curse, but I’m grieving.”

In the post, Che joked about the theory that coronavirus outbreak was caused by a woman in China who went viral for eating a diseased bat.

“I just refuse to believe I lost my sweet, beautiful grandma because some n—a ate a bat one time,” he wrote.

Che also condemns the fast-food industry for delivering, and takes aim at the media for pushing fear mongering.

“Maybe tell people what they should be eating and what foods to avoid … instead of just posting death tolls as your lead story every g—-mn day!” he writes.

“If we can spend 6 hours watching some tweaker raise tigers, then we can spend a few minutes finding out how to not poison ourselves,” he said of Netflix’s popular documentary, “Tiger King,”

Che concluded by stressing the importance of eating healthy to help boost your immune system and limit the chances of contracting the virus.

“Watch what you’re eating at this time,” he wrote. “Make sure you’re getting your vitamins, and water, and probiotics, and dark leafy grans, and all that other good stuff I never thought twice about until the last couple weeks so you can boost your immune system, and help you fight this awful virus in the unfortunate event you get it.”
