Susan Rice to President Trump: You ‘Can’t Stomach Strong Black Women’ [VIDEO]

*Former National Security Adviser Susan Rice has slammed Donald Trump for his attack on a Black female reporter during a White House task force briefing.

Trump lashed out at Yamiche Alcindor of the “PBS NewsHour” during Sunday’s daily White House coronavirus briefing after she pressed him about the status of the medical ventilators that have been requested amid the COVID-19 crisis.

Trump replied, “Why don’t you people — why don’t you act in a little more positive.”

As Alcindor continued with her question, Trump made time to launch a personal attack. “Excuse me, you didn’t hear me, that’s why you used to work for the [New York] Times and now you work for somebody else,” he said. “Be nice. Don’t be threatening. Be nice.”

Taking to Twitter in support of Alcindor, Rice suggested that the confrontation was sparked by Trump’s inability to respect and intolerance strong, Black women.

“You go, girl,” Rice tweeted to Alcindor. “Pathetic when insecure men can’t stomach strong black women,” she wrote.

Trump critics on social media are citing misogyny and racism against the reporter, and many showed their support by using the hastag #WeLoveYamiche.

As noted by the UK Independent, Alcindor later spoke about the incident on Twitter, writing “I’m not the first human being, woman, black person or journalist to be told that while doing a job.”

She added, “My take: Be steady. Stay focused. Remember your purpose. And, always press forward.”

Meanwhile, Rice is also among the long list of Black women that Trump has attacked as president, including, Maxine Waters, Stacey Abrams, April Ryan, Michelle Obama, Omarosa, Abby Phillip, Brenda Snipes, and Mia Love.
