Asked what makes the coronavirus so different from other deadly viruses like Ebola and Zika, Fauci said Ebola gets transmitted only when you’re in very close contact with a person who is very, very ill. With this disease, in some respects its similar to influenza, but in some respects very different.

“It spreads very easy. You can even spread it when you’re not symptomatic, so it’s insidious and treacherous.”
