Angela Stanton-King: Pardoned by Trump Now Running to Unseat John Lewis in Congress!

*Angela Stanton-King, a now-former felon because she was recently p[ardoned by President Trump, has decided she’s going to oust John Lewis from Congress.

Maybe we should say Stanton-King is going to TRY to remove Lewis, who’s been in congress for decades representing the Atlanta area

Stanton-King, according to a TMZ report,  was at the Georgia Capitol Building Friday morning registering as a Republican candidate for the state’s 5th Congressional District.

Stanton-King says abortion will be central to her campaign. She says she wants to “continue to fight for justice for Black America, and also help people understand that our unborn babies deserve justice as well.”

We hope she knows what she’s in for.  Not only is she entering the race with just 8 months to go, but she’s taking on Lewis — the Civil Rights leader and icon who’s held that office since 1987. The district includes most of metropolitan Atlanta and is nearly 60 percent black.

If you’re up on things, you probably recognize Stanton-King as one of the people at the White House last week who met with Trump and prayed for him.  With that in mind, no one would blame you for thinking the orange a-hole’s fingerprints were all over this move.

However, the best selling author who also appeared on the BET docuseries, “From the Bottom Up,” says nope, that’s not the case. She claims she’s no Trump puppet.

In case you weren’t aware, Stanton-King, who did time for felony embezzlement, theft and fraud — could still have run for office, even without the pardon. That’s because, in Georgia, ex-felons can run for Congress.

Oh, by the way, John Lewis announced in December he’s getting treatment for stage 4 pancreatic cancer, but … but … he IS running for re-election. He usually runs unopposed, but not this time so we shall see what happens.
