*Wendy Williams had another slip up on today’s show while trying to report on Megan Thee Stallion’s record label drama.
The rapper filed suit Monday against 1501 Certified Entertainment and its head, Carl Crawford, over the recording contract she signed at age 20. Megan, now 25 and blowing up, wants to renegotiate her deal. Not only did the label say, “No,” it had refused to release any of her new music, which prompted the lawsuit. According to TMZ, she was granted a temporary restraining order on Monday which prevents her label from blocking the music she plans to drop on Friday.
This is what Wendy was trying to report Tuesday when she got her “Megans” mixed up, combining the rapper’s name with pop star Meghan Trainor and saying, “Megan Thee Trainor.” When Stallion’s photo appeared on the screen instead of Trainor’s, the audience howled.
