*Detroit rapper Royce Da 5’9 sat down with SiriusXM Urban View (Channel 126) host, Karen Hunter to discuss his new album, “The Allegory” and went into his story of addiction, how he got sober with good therapy after experiencing a “spiritual awakening.”

In other news, while speaking to HipHopDX about “The Allegory,” Royce DA 5’9” also revealed how he had a hand in squashing the beef between Logic and Joyner Lucas
“Well, I had a long conversation with Logic about it back when it was happening and I had a long conversation with Joyner about it,” he recalled. “I had two separate conversations with them but I had conversations with them in a way where I was giving my opinion but I was also listening [and] understanding each of their sides and just throwing a little bit of my opinion, but just making sure I put something on their brains to take with them. And that’s all I did.
“And then after time progressed, one thing led to another … Joyner came to me and he said that he wanted to get on the phone with Logic because some things that I told him back in the day resonated. It just lined up. And now he understands, so it was just like, ‘Man, you think he’ll get on the phone with me?’ I’m like, ‘Absolutely!’”
Hmm, it looks like it worked, ’cause it wasn’t long afterward that Logic and Lucas collaborated on the track “Isis.”
