Storm Reid’s ‘Euphoria’ Character Expanded for Season 2 + ‘Greenleaf’ Star Lovie Simone Wraps Filming ‘The Craft’

*Actress Storm Reid is excited viewers will get to see more of her character Gia Bennett on HBO’s “Euphoria” in the upcoming season.

ET’s Nischelle Turner caught up with the 16-year-old at Saturday’s 2020 NAACP Image Awards, where Reid shared an update on the hit drama series.

“In the next couple weeks we start [filming],” she revealed. “We’re getting scripts soon. Table reads are coming. I’m on the edge of my seat, because I have no information, other than my character is supposed to be developing and becoming her own. So I am very excited about that.”

Reid plays the sister of Rue Bennett (played by Zendaya), who’s struggling with a drug addiction. Her character will get more screen time next season, which she confirmed during an interview with Collider.

“Yes! Yes. Gia’s becoming her own person and she’s getting her own storyline which is very exciting, so I’m excited to start that very soon,” Reid said.

The “Wrinkle In Time” is currently filming “The Suicide Squad,”  and you can next catch her in “The Invisible Man” when it hits theaters on February 28th.
