*Nia Long stopped by The Breakfast Club to promote “The Banker,” her new film debuting March 6 in theaters and on AppleTV+ beginning March 20.
The story follows Joe Morris (Samuel L. Jackson) and Bernard Garrett (Anthony Mackie), two of the first African-American bankers in the United States.
During the interview, Long talks about motherhood and producing a new Netflix film starring Omar Epps. She also offers some wisdom about “The Banker’s” financial theme, saying to fellow black folk, “You need to have a rich spirit, but strive to be wealthy because wealth is generational .”
