*Has Jada Pinkett Smith confirmed that she is completely out of touch with the culture by claiming to be distraught over Snoop Dogg’s harsh criticism of Gayle King?

Many on Twitter seem to think so.

King caught major heat for asking about Kobe Bryant’s past sexual assault case during an interview that aired following his death late last month.

In Wednesday’s episode of “Red Table Talk,” Pinkett Smith joins her daughter Willow and her mom Adrienne to dish with the rapper about how his negative comments impacted them.

“When you first came out and you said what you said in regards to Gayle, my heart dropped,” Jada says. “I felt like not only were you talking to Gayle, but you were talking to me.”

She adds, “I was like, ‘Not Snoop,’ ” she continues, as the West Coast icon shakes his head. “And so that’s one of the reasons why I felt like I really wanted to have this conversation with you in the spirit of healing.”

Pinkett Smith first revealed that Snoop would be appearing on her Facebook Watch show on Friday in an Instagram post that noted how they would dive deep into an “insightful conversation about The Culture of Disrespect Between Black Men and Black Women.”

Days after Bryant’s death last month, King interviewed WNBA star Lisa Leslie about the legacy of the star Lakers player, during which she touche don Bryant’s past sexual assault case.

Sports fans and celebrities alike called out King (and Oprah) for putting the spotlight on Black males who are accused on sex crimes, while ignoring similar crimes levelled against powerful white males in the media.

Snoop and 50 Cent slammed King over her Kobe inquisition, and both received backlash for appearing to threaten the veteran journalist.

Snoop fans believe his handlers forced him to kick off an apology tour, as he later reached out to King in an Instagram post and claimed he “overreacted.”

“Two wrongs don’t make no right. When you’re wrong, you gotta fix it,” he said. “Gayle King, I publicly tore you down by coming at you in a derogatory manner based off of emotions, being angry at questions that you asked.”

I would like to apologize to you publicly for the language that I used and calling you out of your name and just being disrespectful,” he added, noting that his intention was to express himself “for a friend that wasn’t here to defend himself.”

King went on to accept his apology, saying she understood “the raw emotions caused by this tragic loss.”

Meanwhile, the woke collective within Black Twitter ain’t having it.

One user noted, “Snoop dog is not on a “apologize tour” he’s on a [buck breaking] campaign. They are scolding him, like a little boy. This is disturbing and problematic. When blk men show masculinity, they bring in blk bootlicks to suppress that energy. He’s remarks were aimed at Gayle king only.”

Another said of Jada’s reaction to Snoop in the clip above, “A black woman calling out another black woman to be held accountable when black men are never asked to be held accountable just baffles me…I’m realizing BW can’t get ahead because they put BM over the BW collective…BM are fine ladies!.they but themselves over us all the time.”

Twitter user @BLKLiberation84 noted “I’m so tired of this FAKE “I’m every woman” feminist trash. Snoop was calling out Gayle King & Gayle King only. When will black women like Gayle be held accountable for their treasonous actions? Jada is just playing the Hollyweird liberal position even on “her” Facebook show.”

She added, “Gayle King has gotten off scott free and all the women Gayle has disrespected including Vanessa Bryant and Katherine Jackson. Gayle King only cares about Gayle King!”

Another Twitter user said of Jada’s reaction to Snoop, “The more she talks the more she sounds like her master Oprah. She was friends with Pac ffs! lets not act she ain’t never heard the word b**** before.”

User Craig Bowie wrote, “Snoop dogg , a huge Kobe Bryant fan , snapped on Gayle king because she brought up a rape case from 2003 that was dismissed 17 YEARS AGO in an extremely sad/disrespectful attempt to ruin that man’s image. How the fuck did you feel like he was talking to you? This is a joke.”

In a follow-up tweet, he said, “This was maybe 2 weeks after he passed even if that? It might’ve been a week. I love Jada pinkett so much but this is the dumbest shit I’ve ever heard. Shits a joke. Where is the smoke for the woman that actually committed the disrespectful acts?”

Bowie also added, “Gayle king best friends with Harvey Weinstein a man on trial for multiple rape allegations right now and you worried about snoop dogg and giving that woman no smoke? A joke.”

Do you agree?

Snoop’s Red Table Talk appearance will air Feb. 26 on Facebook Watch at 9 a.m. PT / 12 p.m. ET.
