*The 51st NAACP Image Awards are almost here.
The awards honor people of color in television, music, literature, and film, and also individuals or groups who promote social justice through creative endeavors. Before you sit down to enjoy the show, here are a few things you need to know.
When and Where Are the Awards?
The two-hour broadcast airs live on Saturday, February 22 from Pasadena, California on BET Networks at 8/7c. Other ViacomCBS networks, including MTV, VH1, Comedy Central, CMT, LOGO, TV Land, Pop and Smithsonian will simulcast the ceremony.
Who’s hosting?
Five-time NAACP Image Awards Winner Anthony Anderson will return as host of this year’s show, marking his seventh consecutive year in the role.
Who’s performing?
Performers set to take the stage include Jill Scott and H.E.R. along with Skip Marley.
