THE REAL: Loni Talks Date With a Thief and Alfred Molina Stops By! (VIDEO)

*On Friday, Feb. 21, the hosts of “The Real celebrate Fri-Yay and co-host Loni Love talks about a time in her 20’s when she went on a date with a guy who was surprisingly honest about his unconventional occupation… thievery! And showed her evidence to prove it!

While talking about concert goers who sing along too loudly, co-hosts Adrienne Houghton and Tamera Mowry-Housley attempt to get Loni to go with them to an upcoming Celine Dion performance. Wait until you hear reasons why she wants to see Celine “all by herself”!

Later, actor Alfred Molina stops by to discuss starring in a local stage production of “The Father” at The Pasadena Playhouse, an unforgettable experience he had on the set of his first film The Raiders of the Lost Ark with Harrison Ford and Steven Spielberg and how he was able to overcome being bullied about his appearance as a young boy.

Loni’s Date With a Professional Thief

Loni Love: When I was in my twenties, I wasn’t online dating. I was just dating regular.

Jeannie Mai: Right.

Loni: I met this guy at a bar, right? We became good friends, we talked and everything. And then I kept asking him, “What do you do for a living?”- ‘cause I was a young engineer. So, one day he came to my house- we had dinner. He said, “I’m gonna tell you what I do.” He said, “I just wanna reveal it to you.” I said, “Okay!” You know, I thought he was gonna say “entrepreneur”, whatever. He starts going into a story, you guys. True story. And he says, “You know what I do? I go to Beverly Hills…” And then he pulls out some gloves. And he says, “I go to a bush, and I hide behind a bush. Um, I have to hide for hours.” And he pulled out a gun and said, “I’m a thief. How you feel about that?” But because he had the gun in his hand- I’m not dumb, I said, “Oh, it’s cool!” You know.

(The Real Audience laughs)

Jeannie: Yeah. That’s awesome.

Adrienne Houghton: I was about to say. I was about to say.

Loni: “You self-employed! I dig self-employment… in any fashion!”

Jeannie: Absolutely.

Tamera Mowry-Housley: Wait! So, what happened? What happened after that?

Adrienne: How did you get him out of your house?

Loni: No, no, no. So, I just kept talking to him. Because, my thing is- then you know I got the God in me. And I said, “You know what? I really don’t feel like you should be doing this. You are so much better! You are so…” And then he left because I was being too preachy with him.

Tamera: Ooh!

Jeannie: Wow, Loni!
