*Hours after the hip-hop world was rocked by news of the death of Pop Smoke, another rapper, Blueface took to social media to warn rappers that move to Los Angeles to watch their back at all times.

Pop Smoke was fatally shot at his home Wednesday morning during a home invasion in Hollywood Hills.

Blueface recommends newcomers to L.A. never let their guard down and use locals as guides around the city.

“People think Cali/LA is beautiful sunny palm trees, n****s die here every single day,” he wrote on his Instagram story. “I recommend any artist coming this way to get in touch wit the right natives just to keep you up to speed. Soon as you relax an think it’s cool this way that’s when they strike.”

Some followers interpreted this to mean “check in for a hood pass,” which Blueface was quick to set straight.

“A young immature dumb n**** might take what I said as ‘checking in,’” he clarified. “If you do tap in wit a n**** who Shows any signs of power or misconception cuz you hit him when you land then that is the WRONG native.”

Pop Smoke reportedly revealed his address on Instagram before he was shot and killed. According to TMZ, the 20-year-old was renting a house owned by “Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills” star Teddi Mellencamp (daughter of famed rock star John Mellencamp). The rapper was flexin’ online when he showed off a set of gift bags that apparently had the address printed on a label. He and a friend also posted pics of them in the driveway holding stacks of cash, with the house number clearly seen in the photos.

According to TMZ, security footage shows four masked men entering the house shortly after the occupants inside locked the front doors.

In response to rumors that the friend in the photos “set up” Pop Smoke for the robbery, Mike Dee hit up social to slam the rumors.

“I JUST LOST MY F*CKING BROTHER, MY HEART MY DAWG,” he wrote (see post below). “YOU GUYS HAVE NO TYPE OF SENSE OR SYMPATHY ! YALL DONT KNO WHATS GOING ON YALL COME ON HERE PLAYING INVESTIGATOR AND BASHING ME ON THE INTERNET, I WOULD NEVER IN MY LIFE SET MY BROTHER UP, WE ATE TOGETHER , BROKE BREAD TOGETHER THIS REALLY MY MOTHER CHILD.”

The killers/robbers remain at large and police are investigating. Meanwhile, condolences continue to pour in online. Read the tributes to Pop Smoke here.
