Wendy Williams’ Facing Backlash for Tasteless Joke About Drew Carey’s Ex-fiancee’s Murder – VIDEO

*Wendy Williams has egg on her face … again.

The TV host is currently under fire for making a tasteless joke about the death of sex therapist and game show host Drew Carey‘s ex-finacee Amie Harwick.

If you missed it, on Monday, Williams spoke about the tragic death of Harwick, who was reportedly pushed from the third-story balcony of her Hollywood Hills home on early Saturday morning.

Trying to be funny we suppose, here’s what Williams, 55, said …

“She was killed… not by Drew, but by the ex… come on down,” using Carey’s catch-phrase from “The Price Is Right,” the show he hosts on CBS.

Being that it’s Wendy Williams, it’s not the first time she’s received backlash over an insensitive comment, In fact, she’s had a number of unfortunate gaffes in the past month that included mocking Joaquin Phoenix’s ‘cleft lip’ and saying that gay men should not be able to wear heels.

On Monday, after the audience was stunned into silence by her tasteless joke about Harwick, Williams tried to clean up her mess, calling out her “lawyer lady” for putting “allegedly” in her copy  and added, “This story is everywhere.”

Even though it didn’t help, one of Williams’ producers added, “the ex-boyfriend hasn’t been convicted,” referring to Gareth Pursehouse, Harwick’s ex-boyfriend who was arrested for her murder on Sunday.

Williams went on to add that Harwick was dating Pursehouse, 41, before she ultimately filed a restraining order against him.

Whatever, Wendy. Once again, you let your mouth write a check your arse can’t cash, as the saying goes.
