Former Colorado Springs Mayoral Candidate Posed as Photographer and Drugged New Mom to Steal Baby [VIDEO]

*A Washington state woman has been arrested after she allegedly drugged a woman in an attempt to steal her infant child.

According to BuzzFeed News, Juliette Parker, 38, connected with the alleged victim through Facebook after posing as a photographer offering free maternity photos to build her portfolio.

“She wanted a girl,” said Ed Troyer of the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department, CBS News reports. “She wanted them five weeks and younger so she could raise it herself, take it out of state and pretend it was a newborn of her own.”

The victim reportedly invited Parker into her home three times after responding to the Facebook post.

“The suspect was observed taking cell phone selfies with the victim’s baby and was seen wiping her fingerprints off items she touched inside the victim’s home,” police said in the press release.

During the third visit, authorities said Parker and her 16-year-old daughter gave the woman a cupcake that had been laced with drugs. When she ate it, the new mother became numb and drowsy and began vomiting. She ordered the sinister duo to leave and called 911, only to realize they stole her house keys.

“Basically she was drugged,” said Troyer. “They put drugs in a cupcake, she ate it, and they attempted to take her kid.”

Parker and her daughter were arrested nine days later at their home about 40 miles south of Seattle.

Parker has been charged with attempted kidnapping and assault. She was released after posting $50,000 bail, according to PEOPLE. Her daughter, who is a minor, was reportedly taken into custody and booked into juvenile detention.

Parker unsuccessfully ran for mayor of Colorado Springs in 2019 and touted affordable housing and solutions to homelessness as campaign issues.
