Snoop Dogg Explains Why He Dragged Gayle King for Filth Amid Kobe Bryant Rape Case Controversy [VIDEO]

*Snoop Dogg hit up the Rickey Smiley radio show Friday morning and explained why he was compelled to put Gayle King on blast over her asking about the Kobe Bryant rape case in an interview with WNBA star Lisa Leslie

In 2003, Bryant was accused of sexually assaulting a 19-year-old hotel employee in Colorado. He was charged with rape, but the case was dropped after the accuser declined to testify. She filed a civil suit that was later settled.

In a clip of the “CBS This Morning” interview posted on social media Tuesday, King asks Leslie if she thinks Bryant’s legacy is “complicated” by the sexual assault charge.

“It’s been said that his legacy is complicated because of a sexual assault charge,” King said in the interview, published Tuesday. “Is it complicated for you as a woman, as a WNBA player?”

“It’s not complicated for me at all,” Leslie replied. “I just never have ever seen him being the kind of person that would do something to violate a woman or be aggressive in that way. That was just never the person that I know.”

King followed-up with: “But Lisa, you wouldn’t see it, though,” she said. “As his friend, you wouldn’t see it.”
“And that’s possible,” replied Leslie. “I just don’t believe that.”

King then asked if it’s “even a fair question to talk about” the accusation, “considering he’s no longer with us and that it was resolved,” or if it is “really part of his history.” To which Leslie noted that the media “should be more respectful at this time.”

Fans immediately slammed King for attempting to smear Bryant’s legacy.

Snoop Dogg posted a video on Instagram in which he drags King for filth over her interview with Leslie (see clip above).

“Gayle King..out of pocket for that sh–. Way out of pocket. What do you gain from that? I swear to God we the worst. We the f—ing worst,” Snoop said in the clip, reposted on Twitter by 50 Cent.

“We expect more from you, Gail. Don’t you hang out with Oprah? Why y’all attacking us? We your people. You ain’t come after Harvey Weinstein asking them dumbass questions. I get sick of y’all. I wanna call you one. Is it OK if I call her one? Funky dog head b—h. How dare you try to tarnish my motherf—ing homeboy’s reputation. Punk motherf—er. Respect the family and back off, b—h, before we come get you.”

He also posted a photo of Oprah standing next to accused rapist Harvey Weinstein along with the caption: “Did that fake ass micheal Jackson s— to tarnish his name with them lying ass kids and here she is with a known rapist smiling and laughing. F– u and Gayle. Free bill Cosby.”

In his conversation with Smiley, the West Coast hip-hop icon breaks down why King was wrong for going after Bryant while his family, colleagues and fans are still trying to process his sudden death.
