Michelle Obama Wins First Grammy For ‘Becoming’

*According to the Los Angeles Times, Michelle Obama took home the Grammy for Best Spoken Word for her 2018 memoir “Becoming.”

She was nominated for the category along with the Beastie Boys, Michael Diamond, Adam Horovitz of the Beastie Boys, and John Waters.

However, she is not the only one in her family who has won the category. Her husband, 44th U.S. President Barack Obama, earned two Grammy’s for his 2006 recording of his memoir “Dreams From My Father” and in 2008 for “The Audacity of Hope.”
