*Here’s the bottom line. OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network has canceled “Ambitions.”
The news came directly from series star Robin Givens on Thursday who let fans know via her Instagram account.
“Found out last week #Ambitions wouldn’t be returning for a second season,” the actress captioned a photo of herself looking disappointed.
Givens played Stephanie Lancaster, an ambitious attorney plotting to take charge of her family’s prestigious law firm, on the series.
Brian White – who co-starred as her husband, Evan Lancaster, Atlanta’s power-hungry mayor with dreams of becoming the first African-American governor of Georgia – also posted comments about the show’s cancellation.
Essence Atkins, Kendrick Cross, Erica Page, Brian Bosworth, Matt Cedeño, Deena Dill, Gino Anthony Pesi and Kayla Smith rounded out the main cast.
