My heart breaks today at the death of my dear friend, Stacey Porter. I keep thinking about all the times we laughed and cried and prayed and believed!! She was there with me in the beginning of my career, working on my plays. She was a living witness to all that God was doing in not only my life, but hers. Over the years we kept in touch and grew closer. She was my biggest cheerleader and also kept me up on all the pop news and gossip… (smiling through tears). Not long ago, I went to visit her and sat there wanting to hear her laugh or tell me about anything that was going on in the world. Although she couldn’t, I know she knew that David and Tamela Mann and myself were by her side. I can’t believe you’re gone. I was so hoping you would have gotten better. So young, so beautiful, and so full of life. I’ll carry you in my soul as I miss you greatly. Life is so short. Life is so precious. Life is but a moment. I’m glad I had that moment with you! I love you Stacey. Journey well to the other side! If you have a living Stacey in your life, please don’t take them for granted! Love is the best gift you can give!!
