*President Barack Obama honored his wife on her birthday by sending out a heartwarming message for Michelle Obama as she turned 56 on Friday.
“In every scene, you are my star, @MichelleObama!” the president, 58, tweeted along with four candid couple photos, taken during a Fourth of July party while the Obamas were in the White House.
“Happy birthday, baby!” he wrote — peep the post below.

Along with the message, Obama shared a series of four photos of the happy couple, who have been married for nearly 30 years.
The former first lady bagged her first Grammy Award nod, as she is nominated in the best spoken word category for the audio version of her best-selling memoir, “Becoming.”
In writing “Becoming,” Obama hopes her journey inspires the next generation.
“I think that young people are the future,” she told “Good Morning America” co-anchor Robin Roberts in 2018, ahead of the book’s release. “And if my story, my journey somehow gives them hope — that they can build a powerful journey for themselves and that they can own their voice and share their story, that that’s part of what makes us great. If I played a role in that for some young people comin’ down the line, then … I’ll feel good about it.”
In October, Barack and Michelle shared celebratory messages on social media to commemorate their 27th wedding anniversary.
“Like the Beatles said: It’s getting better all the time. Thanks, babe, for 27 amazing years!,” Barack wrote.
Michelle had a little more to say: “27 years ago, this guy promised me a life full of adventure. I’d say he’s delivered,” she wrote on her Instagram post. “Here’s to our next chapter of becoming empty nesters and discovering what’s next—while still feeling the magic that brought us together all those years ago. Happy anniversary, Barack.”
