*Days after R. Kelly’s girlfriends Azriel Clary and Joycelyn Savage got into a fight that was captured on Instagram Live, 24-year-old Savage has been charged with one misdemeanor count of domestic battery.
We previously reported…the incident went down on Kelly’s 53rd birthday, and was caught on Clary’s IG Live broadcast. The footage shows Savage calling Clary “evil” and accusing her of disrespecting Kelly’s house. Clary insists she is simply protecting herself, and it’s not long before the two come to blows. However, the camera falls to the floor as the scuffle ensues but you can hear others attempt to de-escalate the situation.
Clary can also heard accusing Savage of sleeping with her when she was still a minor.

The context of the argument is later explained in a follow-up video that Clary shared of her reporting the incident to police. In it, she claims the incident began when Savage gave one of R. Kelly’s handlers, a woman named “Kimberly,” a key to their home to collect some of the singer’s personal items. Clary explains to authorities that she was uncomfortable with the woman being inside the Condo without Savage, and that’s when all hell broke loose and “she started attacking me,” Clary says in the clip.
Most recently, she revealed that she was no longer living at R. Kelly condo. According to her mother, Clary has returned home and reunited with her family.
“The battle is won because she’s still here, she’s still alive, she’s still breathing and though she lost a few years of her life, she’s still here to tell her story,” her mother Alice tells PEOPLE. “Because I chose not to keep her secluded in her life, she’s here now and we’re able to say the victory is won because she finally came to her senses and she’s back home with her family.”
Following the brawl with Clary, Savage reportedly fled the scene but later surrendered herself over to the custody of the police. She was charged with assault on Wednesday (Jan. 8), and Clary confirmed the news via Twitter on Thursday.

Clary later posted a second tweet calling for prayers for Savage.
“I woke up today happy but torn, I didn’t come to Chicago for Robert… only for Joy, whom he purposely separated us because he knew I’d try to make her go home,” she wrote. “Please pray for Joy, this is just tough love so she can come to her own realization at her own timing.”
Earlier this week, Clary hinted on Twitter that she may spill the tea about R. Kelly and his alleged sex crimes.
Meanwhile, Joycelyn Savage has reportedly been released from jail.
