*The half-brother of the duo who make up the hip-hip group Rae Sremmurd has been arrested for murder in connection to the fatal shooting of their stepfather.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ that Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi’s younger half-brother, Michael Sullivan, had been held for a psychiatric evaluation after killing the man who helped raised them since they were young.
The incident occurred in Tupelo, Mississippi Monday night. According to the report, police were dispatched to a home where they found 62-year-old Floyd Sullivan dead on the scene from several gunshot wounds.

19-year-old Sullivan is the only person of interest in the shooting. Following his psychiatric evaluation, he was arrested for murder in connection to his father’s death.
The Lee County Medical Examiner confirmed to the outlet that the victim is Swae and Slim’s stepdad, who raised them since they were in middle school, along with their mother, Bernadette. Floyd also has a son, Floyd Jr., from a previous relationship.
In a tweet, Swae Lee posted four broken heart emojis. “I pray this world let me keep some compassion,” he wrote in a second tweet (see above).
Slim Jxmmi has not publicly commented on the shooting.
The news comes just as the two brothers recently celebrated the fifth anniversary of their debut album, “SremmLife,” on January 6.
