*Blair Underwood is currently starring in “A Soldier’s Play” on Broadway, and the actor is driving the women in the audience kray-kray by appearing on stage “with an open-shirted soldier’s uniform,” according to Page Six.
A spy told the outlet that the crowds are going “wild” over Underwood.

On Friday night, the cheers lasted so long that Underwood was forced to hold his line until things calmed down. After a minute or two he was able to resume speaking and button up his shirt, surely to the disappointment of the audience.
A similar scene happened on Saturday with Underwood behaving like a “total pro,” waiting patiently before delivering his next line.

According to Playbill.com, Underwood co-stars with Tony nominee David Alan Grier in this “whodunit as Sergeant Vernon C. Waters and Captain Richard Davenport, respectively. The play follows Davenport, a tenacious investigator, who must race against his white leadership to unravel who murdered Waters on a Louisiana Army base.”
The Kenny Leon-directed revival of Charles Fuller Pulitzer Prize-winning drama kicked off previews at American Airlines Theatre on Broadway December 27. The production officially opens January 21.
