THE REAL Welcomes Morris Chestnut and Kristin Cavallari! – WATCH

*On Tuesday, Jan. 7, the ladies of “The Real” discuss the social media controversy after two writers criticized Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s daughter’s Blue Ivy’s appearance and another Twitter user criticized the appearances of singers Ari Lennox and Teyana Taylor.

Co-host Amanda Seales feels that Blue Ivy needs to be protected even more because she’s a child and co-host Loni Love is upset at the negativity directed at Black women all around.

Reality star Kristin Cavallari stops by to discuss season three of Very Cavallari and whether Kelly Henderson will be making an appearance this season!

And actor Morris Chestnut visits to talk about The Resident and why this role is different than any part he’s ever played before!

Why Is Everyone So Willing To Give Nastiness A Voice?

Tamera Mowry-Housley: Just even growing up biracial – yo, I get it from both sides. I’m not gonna lie.

Amanda Seales: Of course you did.

Tamera: You know? So it’s already enough, we already have people talking about us anyway, as Black people. So we need to support each other.

Amanda: Say it!

[The Real audience applauds]

Tamera: We need to encourage each other! Like, this needs to stop! It needs to stop. Growing up biracial, I was always like, “Well, damn!” Like, what side, like… Can I get some love, somebody? Do you know what I mean? So I understand – I understand her outcry.

Loni Love: Well, the thing is too, when it comes to that, ‘cause we’re not defending Jay-Z and Beyoncé because they’re wealthy celebrities, we’re talking about this is so much deeper. You’re talking about people being upset because we look a certain type of way.

Amanda: Exactly.

Tamera: But that’s not ok!

Loni: That’s not the way they’re used to. You want to know why they’re not used to it?

Amanda: Say it.

Loni: Because they don’t put us on the magazine covers…

[The Real audience applauds]

Loni: Because they don’t give us opportunities, you know, so when you see somebody like us, you know, and we put a new girl on, and you want to attack this sister?

Amanda: Talk to ‘em, Loni!

Loni: You all check yourself, ok? Check yourself!

[The Real audience applauds]

Jeannie Mai: What are you so upset about?

Loni: What you so upset about that we put another sister because we not all – we don’t all think alike?! She different, she different, she different, ok? We put on as many people as we can but I’m sick of y’all and y’all negativity for this girl. Leave her alone!

[The Real audience applauds]

Amanda: Why you gonna make me cry two days in a row? Why you gonna make me cry two days in a row on this show, Loni, goddarn.

Loni: Well, it’s like what do people want?

Jeannie: Yeah.

Loni: What do people want?

Adrienne Houghton: It’s just so much negativity.

Amanda: I just want us all to start looking within ourselves at why we are so willing to give nastiness outside. And listen, none of us are perfect.
