*Black Twitter was quick to get two white journalists right together after they mocked seven-year-old Blue Ivy Carter

The oldest daughter of Jay-Z and Beyonce was at the center of shady tweets from Violet Lucca, web editor for Harper’s Bazaar, and K. Austin Collins, a film critic for Vanity Fair.

As noted by thejasminebrand.com, Lucca and Collins caught major heat for comments they made about Blue’s appearance in a photo with her mother and rapper Megan Thee Stallion.

“I have a feeling the jay z face genes are about to really hit Blue Ivy and I feel so sorry for her,” wrote Collins.

When someone replied, questioning that they “haven’t already?” Collins said Blue Ivy may be going through an “ugly duckling phase.”

“You’re right,” he wrote. “But she’s lucky –– if it happens now she’ll definitely grow out of it. Get the ugly duckling phase done early.”

Lucca then chimed in with “Or she’ll just get plastic surgery at 16 a la Kylie Jenner and we’ll all have to pretend that he always looked that way…  I can’t allow myself to feel too sorry for the incredibly rich!”

After being dragged for filth by Beyonce fans, both writers apologized for their comments.

“I’m sorry about the Blue Ivy tweet — bad joke, and black girls in particular deserve better,” Collins wrote.

“Queen & Slim” actress Jodi Turner-Smith shared the exchange and captioned it: “Leave Black Girls Alone In 2020!” she tweeted. “Black features are beautiful. Black skin is beautiful. Leave Us Alone. keep your hatred to your damn self in this decade.”
