70-Year-Old Woman Speaks Out After Tasing Incident on Birthday [VIDEO]

*Florida police used a stun gun on a 70-year-old woman after she refused to let them in her house on her birthday.

According to a police report, Barbara Pinkney was tased multiple times last week on her 70th birthday (Dec. 26) by police officers while trying to arrest her grandson, Tevin Turner, who they suspected was inside her home, PEOPLE reports.

Turner was wanted for carrying a concealed firearm but Pinkney refused to let cops in because they didn’t have a search warrant. They tried explaining that their arrest warrant was sufficient, but Pinkney wasn’t having it.

When she tried to close the door, the officers forced themselves inside. That’s when one pulled out his taser and fired.

PEOPLE obtained a copy of the arrest report against Pinkney, in which the officer noted that his “E.C.W.,” or electronic control weapon “had no effect on her.” He then placed the taser directly against her body and “drive stunned” her.

“B. Pinkney rolled to her stomach and pulled her arms underneath her, refusing to give me her hands,” the report continues. The elderly woman was tased a third time before being arrested and placed into a patrol car.

Pinkney has been charged with felony battery on a law enforcement officer and obstructing justice. She has been released on a $1,000 bond.

Local news outlets report that Turner was not found nor apprehended on Pinkney’s property.

A deputy noted: “There was enough time during the chaos at the front of the residence for (the suspect) to get out of the rear of the residence.”
