WATCH Patti LaBelle and Anthony Anderson Kill the ‘Good Times’ Theme Song

*To paraphrase the “Good Times” theme song, folks were lucky to get Patti LaBelle and Anthony Anderson to belt out the song as the intro to the Live in Front of a Studio Audience special Wednesday evening on ABC.

LaBelle and Anderson (who didn’t know could carry a tune until tonight) did a bang-up job on their duet. Kudos to whoever thought of pairing them.

The Grammy Award-winning singer and the star of ABC’s “black-ish” They were joined by a gospel choir as they sang about “temporary layoffs” and “easy credit rip-offs”… and LaBelle really nailed that final note. Speaking of which, even Anderson, who gets props for holding his own duetting with Miss Patti, was in awe as she did her thing with that final note.
