And Romeo Miller joins the hosts to talk about Ex on the Beach: Peak of Love. He also addresses comments his Growing Up Hip Hop Star Angela Simmons made recently about their relationship.

Loni Reveals She Is Thinking About Adoption!

Jeannie Mai: I heard that you might be thinking about adopting yourself?

Loni Love: Yeah, I’m thinking about it!

[The Real audience applauds]

Loni: It was funny… you know what, there are 135,000 children that are adopted in the United States each year. For African-American children, they’re over-represented in the adoption pool. 24% of children – African-Americans – are waiting for adoption. You gotta think about it – the population for African-Americans is only –

Loni and Tamera Mowry-Housley: 13%.

Loni: So it’s double. The thing about for me is that I would really, seriously have to think about it. One thing – which it might not be an issue for me, but – it’s expensive to adopt. It’s very expensive. But also, more importantly, it’s about my lifestyle. I travel a lot, I would need some help. So, but I am thinking about it. So, you know.

[The Real audience applauds]

Tamera: Oh my god!

Jeannie: That’s so cool!

Adrienne Houghton: That’s incredible.

Tamera: Loni. You would be an amazing mom.

Loni: Well, you know the thing is, is that the average age of adoption is like 7, but the older children… And I’m thinking I’ve been so blessed, I would love to help an older child. So… I’ll think about it. In 2020, we’ll see.

[Edit]

Loni: Can you imagine going from “Auntie Loni” to “Mama Loni?”

Tamera: I would love it!

[The Real audience applauds]

Adrienne: I would love that!

Tamera: Oh my gosh, then we can have playdates! We can have playdates!

Adrienne: Speaking of playdates, Tam, you’ve actually mentioned before that you would consider adoption.

Jeannie: Look at her face.

Adrienne: Is that something you are still considering?

Tamera: No, I’m still considering it.

[The Real audience applauds]

Tamera: I would love it. That’s why I got a little emotional. And, my husband and I, we were talking – we would like to adopt – in the future – an older, an older child. Because the older children sometimes get neglected. I used to work in a foster care home, and they would, they would say that exact thing, “Well, we’re still here because we’re not the ones that get adopted.” And I even – we were even talking to our children about it, and I want to make sure that they understand fully, you know, what’s going on. ‘Cause Aden and his sister – they want another sibling. And I said, “Well…”

Jeannie: They say that?

Tamera: Yeah. “I want a brother,” or “I want a sister.”

Loni: Yeah.

Tamera: I’m like, “Well, it ain’t comin’ out of here!”

[The Real audience applauds]

Loni: All the time, they say it all the time.

Tamera: All the time. So we are thinking about it.
