Steve Harvey Accused of Making Another Miss Universe Paegant Boo Boo – WATCH

*Good Lord! Did Steve Harvey and the Miss Universe Pageant experience deja vu all over again, as Yogi Berra once put it?

Remember the 2015 Miss Universe gaffe that Harvey made? Well, some believe the 62-year-old host made another huge pageant boo boo.

If you missed, Sunday night, during the 2019 Miss Universe contest (on Fox), Harvey seemingly misspoke while highlighting the National Costume contest portion of the competition.

“Earlier this week, all the contestants competed in a National Costume contest. Here’s the look at the winner, Miss Philippines,” he said.

As he continued to talk about the contest, Miss Malaysia Shweta Sekhon, who was standing beside him on stage, interrupted him.

“It’s not Philippines. It’s Malaysia,” Shweta informed the host, who immediately got flustered and began to blame the teleprompter.

“Let me explain something to you. I just read that in the teleprompter. Ya’ll got to quit doing this to me. I can read … Now, they are trying to fix it now. See? This is what they did to me back in 2015 — played me short like that.”

No need to worry Mr. Harvey ’cause the  Miss Universe reps confirm that you didn’t do anything wrong and yes, the teleprompter was correct, as well.

“Miss Universe Philippines Gazini Ganados is the winner of the Miss Universe 2019 National Costume competition,” a rep told Fox News. “As part of the broadcast, we also featured Miss Universe Malaysia Shweta Sekhon’s national costume. Miss Sekhon wasn’t aware we’d be announcing Philippines first, so she jumped the gun when Mr. Harvey started with that news. Mr. Harvey made a joke of it so as not to embarrass her, but no mistakes regarding the national costume winner were made by him, the prompter or production.”

Additionally, the Miss Universe organization reiterated a portion of its statement when it announced on Twitter, tagging Steve, that he had the facts right all along.

Even though Steve Harvey was cleared by Miss Universe, some on  Twitter weren’t having it. It’s like they just wanted to hate on Harvey. Some even suggested that the show meant to commit an error.

“Did they do this ‘mistake’ on purpose? This isn’t funny anymore,” one viewer tweeted. “Change the host! This is repeatable mistake!” another demanded.

With comments like that floating around, it’s no surprise that Harvey has seemingly addressed the issue. On Monday, according to Good Housekeeping, he cryptically tweeted out a message about how to deal with the haters while promoting a clip of Family Feud. He then pinned the tweet to the top of his feed.

“Hate is louder than love, but love is stronger than hate. If you focus on those who love you, you can blow over the haters. Most people hate you only because of the way other people love you,” he wrote.
