*When you overcome adversity and beat the odds, that’s something that should be celebrated. Often times the portrayal of minorities in the media is not shown in the most positive of light! We get and we see it. EURweb, however, continues to push the opposite of that narrative.
The Bounce Trumpet Awards have also continued to recognize individual accomplishments of black humanitarians who have succeeded against the odds. For over 25 years The Trumpet Awards, now with a new home at Bounce TV, are being televised to give recognition to countless musicians, activists, politicians, as well as your favorite actors.
The Bounce Trumpet Awards will air exclusively on Bounce TV on Sunday, January 12 at 9pm ET.
STEVE HARVEY ACCUSED OF MAKING ANOTHER MISS UNIVERSE PAEGANT BOO BOO – WATCH
This year is, of course, no exception. The show for the first time in history was taped outside of Atlanta at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, CA. With the move to LA, the show was able to bring in more entertainment value.
The 2020 honorees are Cedric The Entertainer, Martin Lawrence, Marsai Martin, Phylicia Fant and Hydeia Broadbent. Wanda Sykes is set to host the first Hollywood version which is executive produced by Rikki Hughes. There will be performances from Rapsody, BJ the Chicago Kid, Le’Andria Johnson and many others including Mike Epps, NAS and Steve Harvey.
