THE REAL Welcomes Rapper Tory Lanez (Who Performs With T-Pain), L&HH:NY’s Tahiry, and Guest Co-Host Rachel Lindsay!

*On Thursday, Dec. 5, “The Real” welcomes back guest co-host, former Bachelorette and host of the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast, Rachel Lindsay!

The Real’s Love & Hip Hop: NY Week continues with Tahiry, who reveals why she’s returning to the show after all these years, and talks about if she and her ex Joe Budden are getting along after she turned down his proposal in Time Square.

And co-host Tamera Mowry-Housley confesses that she used to be a social smoker and what ultimately made her stop. She also tells the story of how famous chef Guy Fieri was frightened at her 40th birthday party by her co-host Loni Love!

Later rapper Tory Lanez stops by to talk about his new album Chixtape and clarifies his recent viral interview regarding buying gifts for women. Then, fellow rapper T-Pain joins him on stage to perform their new single, “Jerry Sprunger.”

Tahiry Talks About Her Past With Joe Budden and If They’re Now Getting Along on L&HH:NY.

Tamera Mowry-Housley: The last time you were on the show, you had turned down Joe Budden’s proposal in Time Square. Do you regret saying “no” in such a public way?

Tahiry: Well, he proposed in a public place. So, I mean…

Jeannie Mai: It’s a question.

Tahiry: Yeah, you, you get – you ask the question… I, I don’t regret it. I didn’t know I was that brave, too. It was closing one of the most important chapters of my life on national TV. I believe that the show had, at one point, had 5.1 million viewers at the time…

Loni Love: Wow.

Tahiry: So, to be able to say “no” to the man I thought, at that moment, was supposed to be my forever…

Tamera: Yeah.

Tahiry: … was big. Uh…

Loni: What made you say “no”?

Tahiry: I had to do what was best for me.

(The Real audience applauds)

Tahiry: I knew that that ring would come with…

Tamera: Lots of other stuff.

Tahiry: I knew that that ring would come with, um, you know, the show specials, the wedding specials, more – We were so big, people loved us together. But… I couldn’t do it. It wasn’t what my gut told me to do. So, I had to follow my gut.

Tamera: You have to listen to your gut.

Tahiry: None of that had mattered. You know what I’m saying? If the relationship wasn’t that healthy.

Loni: Do you think you made the right choice by saying “no”?

Tahiry: Absolutely. Absolutely.

Loni: Do you still love him? You have feelings?

Tahiry: Of course I love him!  I love him as a person, yeah.

Rachel Lindsay: Well, Jeannie already asked you about castmates. You said “Joe”. So, I have to ask you. I have to poke you a little bit… How is the relationship between you and Joe now?

Tahiry: It depends on the day. It depends on other…

(The Real hosts and audience laugh)

Rachel: I’m gonna need a little bit more.

Tahiry: You guys have to tune in!

Loni: Okay!

Adrienne Houghton: Could you ever see love on the horizon? Could you ever?

Tahiry: With?

Rachel: Joe.

Tahiry: You guys have to tune in to see what’s happening! We’re all exes on this show. There’s Cyn, there’s Erica, there’s Tahiry, there’s Joe. There’s so much happening. Imagine what that filming is like.

Jeannie: I wanna know, is there still chemistry with you and Joe? Like, do you feel chemistry?

Tahiry: I think, I think that Joey and I are great on film, off film – we just have that, like – we’re just fly together. We, like, have fun.

Jeannie: So, there is chemistry.

Tahiry: It’s weird because for somebody who did, who has done so much in the past, and for me to be able to just surpass that, like be over it and still enjoy him – it’s cool. It depends on the day.

Adrienne: You have a friendship there ultimately.

Tahiry: Absolutely! After being with somebody for such a long time, you can’t just hate. I mean, I grew up. I grew. I forgave. It’s time to, you know, move on.
