*Two NYC area lawmakers are not at all thrilled with what rapper T.I. is doing as far as keeping tabs on his daughter’s virginity and want to make the creepy practice a felony.

As we reported earlier, folks lost their collective minds when the so-called “King of the South” went on a podcast bragged to the world about knowing that his 18-year-old daughter, Deyjah Harris, isn’t having sex because a gynecologist regularly checks her hymen.

Needless to say, Deyjah was mortified that her very personal information had been so publicly revealed.

Well, she wasn’t the only one. What her father did pissed off Democratic state Sen. Roxanne Persaud (D-Brooklyn) and Assemblywoman Michaelle Solages (D-Nassau) who have introduced new legislation that would ban doctors from performing “virginity examinations” that are widely denounced as unscientific and described as abusive.

“These examinations are not only a violation of women’s and girls’ human rights, but in cases of rape, can cause additional pain and mimic the original act of sexual violence, leading to re-experience, re-traumatization and re-victimization,” the lawmakers argue in the bill memo.

The law, if passed, would state that licensed medical professionals conducting or supervising the bizarre purity search would face professional misconduct penalties, and if in a “non-medical” setting—could be charged with sexual abuse in the first degree, a class D felony.

“It’s misogynistic, it’s appalling,” a furious Solages told The NY Post in a phone interview.

“I was horrified to see this was happening. If a celebrity can impose his power to ensure his 18-year-old daughter gets checked, imagine what can be done in households across New York state?”

During the now-deleted interview, T.I. had no problem boasting that his daughter waved her privacy rights.

“[The doctor is] like, ‘You know, sir, I have to, in order to share information’ — I’m like, ‘Deyjah, they want you to sign this so we can share information. Is there anything you would not want me to know? See, Doc? Ain’t no problem,’” he said during the episode on the “Ladies Like Us” podcast.

Additionally, the United Nations and World Health Organization have both called for a global prohibition on the pelvic exams.
