Motown’s Blinky Williams ‘Out of the Vault’ Show & Celebration!

Attended by Berry Gordy and some of Motown’s elite!

The place to be last Wednesday night (11/13/19) was Catalina Jazz Club where former Motown artist and Sammy Davis Jr. protege, Blinky, performed her dynamic “Out of the Vault” show to commemorate the release of a long-overdue album that has been “In the Vault” for a number of years.

She not only performed some of the material from the album, but included some of the songs that were signature of Davis Jr’s performances which she witnessed while under his tutelage.

The show was attended by Berry Gordy, Iris Gordy, Karla Gordy Bristol, Janie Bradford, Freda Payne, Brenda Holloway, TaTa Vega, Brenda Lee Eager, Shelly Berger and a host of friends that included Reve Gipson who served as the MC.

Also in attendance was Andy Skurow (Universal Music Group) who is very much responsible for the packaging and release of Blinky’s album. The band consisted of a group of musicians that was conducted by H B Barnum.
