*On Friday, Kanye West released the music video for his new song “Follow God,” from his new gospel album “Jesus Is King.”
Ye reconnected with his father, Ray West, in the middle of rural Wyoming to film the project. The formerly estranged pair have been spending more time with each other ever since the rapper’s dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer last year.
The music video opens with the father-son duo rocking snowsuits as they walk along a snowy plain.
“What does it really mean to follow God? Like as I stand here today I’m reminded of the first time my children ever got an opportunity to be in snow. And when we walked outside in the snow, they were very fearful in terms of the steps that they would take,” West’s father is heard saying (via PEOPLE)

He continues, “And what I did was, I walked in front of them and I took steps and I said to them, ‘Instead of creating your own footprints, walk in the footprints that I’ve already made,’” he added.
West goes on to say, “Somebody only close to you could get you like, off your… I be on my… I woke up this morning, I said my prayers, I’m all doing good, I tried to talk to my dad, get him some advice. He started spazzing on me, I started spazzing back. He said, ‘That ain’t Christ-like.’ I said, ‘Ahh!’”

Meanwhile, Kanye appeared at Fast Company’s Innovation Festival on Thursday where he made clear his intention to run for president in 2024 (see the Twitter video embed above).
“When I run for president in 2024, we gonna definitely…” he said as the crowd burst into laughter. “What y’all laughing for?” Ye asked before continuing.
“When I run for president in 2024, we would’ve created so many jobs that I’m not gonna run, I’m gonna walk,” he said.
Kanye might also legally change his name to “Christian Genius Billionaire Kanye West” for a year “until y’all understand exactly what it is.”
