The third installment of the “Charlie’s Angels” film series rolls into theaters next Friday (11.15.19) with Kristen Stewart, Ella Balinska, Naomi Scott and Elizabeth Banks.
EUR correspondent Fahnia Thomas hung out with the seraphs and chatted about lines, lyrics and last minutes.
Q: Who’s most likely to cancel plans last minute?
All: Kristen.
Kristen Stewart: I tend to just avoid plan-making because I don’t want to disappoint [people]. I don’t want to set myself up for failure.
Elizabeth Banks: She’s also really good at like [saying], ‘I can hang out right now.’
Naomi Scott: And she’s present when she’s there.
Kristen Stewart: I’m super available.
Naomi Scott: You would rather that than someone be like, ‘yeah, we’re here,’ and then they’re just not present, you know?
Kristen Stewart: I am never ever the person on my phone… No, no, no. No, no, no, no.
Q: Who is the most likely to forget their lines?
Elizabeth Banks: Me.
Kristen Stewart: She was directing the movie…
Naomi Scott: She’s right. She’s right.
Elizabeth Banks: [I’d be] like, ‘Oh sorry, guys…’
Naomi Scott: …’Oh, my line.’
Kristen Stewart: She would look down at the sides and have like all this exposition to get through…
Ella Balinska: Like a chunk.
Kristen Stewart: And she’d be like, ‘Oh, no it’s okay. We can go. We can go. Let’s roll. Let’s roll.’ I’m, like, ‘What are you…
Elizabeth Banks: I wrote it too, that’s why.
Kristen Stewart: That’s true. That’s true.
Q: Was there a particular line that kept tripping you up?
Ella Balinska: You know what it was? It was the racecourse.
Elizabeth Banks: Oh, yes! I watched those dailies just to make myself laugh, so I…I kept messing up this line. I couldn’t hear that I was messing it up…And they made so much fun of me…
Kristen Stewart: She said the same thing three times, but it was so wrong, and we were, like…And she was kinda serious about it, too. She was like, ‘What?’
Naomi Scott: What was the word?
Elizabeth Banks: I can’t remember.
Kristen Stewart: It was also something vaguely dirty…
