*”America’s Dumbest Criminals” is the name of a show spoofing dumb criminals, but sometimes you don’t even need to turn on a television to be entertained.
Instead, all you need to do is look at the player above to see just how ridiculous this would-be robber of a Country Inn and Suites Hotel in Paducah, Kentucky was earlier this week.
The employee can be seen throwing money at the robber who is then distracted by the case falling on the floor.

He then bends down to pick it up, leaving his gun on the counter for what seemed like forever. You can literally see the gears turning in the young woman’s head as she decides whether it is worth the risk to snatch the gun.
She decides on the latter and chases the hapless hillbilly away, only to return to try to retrieve after he is convinced the clerk doesn’t know how to use it.
She puts one in the chamber of the weapon and points again as the robber-turned-attacker tries to hop the counter. He almost immediately realizes his mistake and runs off a second time.
By the way, the hapless hillbilly robber has been identified as Cory T. Phillips, 26, of West Paducah. Phillips was arrested during a traffic stop.
Phillips has been charged with first-degree robbery and receiving a stolen firearm stemming from the robbery at the Country Inn and Suites hotel in Paducah, Kentucky on Monday night, according to WPSD Local 6 News.
