Donald Trump to Launch ‘Black Voices’ Voter Initiative from Atlanta on Friday

donald trump - blacks for trump*President Donald Trump hopes to recruit Black voters to support his campaign with a new coalition he plans to launch this week in Atlanta.

Trump’s campaign announced on Monday its “Black Voices for Trump” initiative, which aims to recruit and engage Black Americans to support Trump during the 2020 presidential election. Vice President Mike Pence will address the group at an event on Friday in Atlanta, according to a senior campaign official.

Just a reminder that Trump won about 8% of the black vote in 2016.

“Black Americans have never had a better champion than President Trump,” Katrina Pierson, Senior Advisor at Donald J. Trump for President, Inc. wrote in a statement emailed to Newsweek. “The Black Voices for Trump coalition will be a national effort to mobilize and empower Black Americans who support President Trump to help get the message of ‘Promises Made, Promises Kept’ into communities across America.”

According to ajc.com, the Black Voices for Trump Coalition initiative will kick off at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, on Friday at 3 p.m. ET, during which the president’s reelection campaign team is expected to tout the propaganda that Black unemployment rates are the lowest they have ever been in history.

Meanwhile, no Trump-loving conservative (not even Trump himself) has provided receipts showing which  American companies have aided to reducing unemployment rates among Black folks. There’s also a lack of testimony from formerly out-of-work individuals whose livelihoods were transformed for the better under the Trump administration.

“Under President Trump, unemployment for African Americans has reached historic lows and nearly 1.4 million new jobs have been added for African Americans,” Pierson claims. “Black Americans’ strong support for President Trump will ensure a second term for the President.”

Trump will kick off the Black Voices for Trump Coalition initiative in Atlanta because the city is the epicenter of Black culture. His visit will include a roundtable discussion that will cost supporters $100,000 to attend, a luncheon that will cost attendees $2,800 — and for a $35,000 donation, Trump fanatics can take a photo with the former reality television star, ajc.com reports.
