*If there’s such a thing as a low-key divorce, Anthony Mackie just pulled it off. Yep, dude done did it already. And no one knew … until now.
The always-busy actor, who’s most recent claim to fame is the character Falcon in the “Avenger” flicks, and his now ex-wife, Sheletta Chapital, have been separate items for some time, we’re just now learning. Would you believe he filed papers back in late 2017 and the divorced was finalized last year!
Now, that’s how you keep stuff under cover until you’re ready to spring it on folks.
if you’re wondering, a source close to the former couple tells TMZ that the split was amicable. However, it’s still not known what caused the split in the first place, but they are apparently still on good terms with each other.

Apparently Anthony Mackie, 41, likes the low-key, undercover way of doing things. We say that because the now-former couple, who were childhood sweethearts, also jumped the broom under the radar, tying the knot in a small ceremony at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Punta Cana, the Dominican Republic in 2014, so sayeth the New York Post’s Page Six gossip column.
Anthony and Sheletta have 4 children and will share joint custody of them. No official word on any spousal or child support though.
Just in case you might be thinking of shedding a tear for mr. Mackie, don’t. The Marvel superhero just started shooting “The Falcon & The Winter Soldier,” Marvel’s First Disney+ series as well as a new film, “The Banker,” with Samuel L. Jackson. Additionally, he has “The Woman In The Window” hitting theaters in May 2020.
