Sandra Evers Manly hosts over 90 films for her 25th Short Film Festival. For info on the 2019 lineup go to: BHERC.org

*Friday, October 25, 2019, at 7:00PM is another Great Day In Hollywood!  It’s the opening Gala of the 25th S.E. Manly Short Film Festival and African American Marketplace.  It takes place at the Nate Holden Performing Arts Center, 4708 West Washington Blvd. LA, CA 90016.

The community is invited as The Black Hollywood Education and Resource Center (BHERC) honors directors, producers and media personalities such as Oz Scott, Neema Barnett, Charles Floyd Johnson and Pat Prescott.  Also being honored is Harry E. Johnson, the force behind the Memorial Project which resulted in the Martin Luther King, Jr. Stone of Hope in Washington, D. C.  The BHERC gala introduces the works of 90 new and veteran filmmakers whose films will be screened all day Saturday and all day Sunday for the first time at the Cinemark 18 & XD in the Howard Hughes Promenade in Los Angeles.

The festival debuts five new titles under Sandra Evers Manly’s Films With A Purpose.  This is where change happens in Hollywood!

The directors have already called action, now it’s the community’s time to take action and overwhelmingly support this stellar and empowering event.

BHERC also launched their first-ever faith-based film festival earlier in the month.  In all that Sandra does, she seeks to share the power of captivating our stories on film.

Opening Gala $75; block of films $20 for students with ID and $25 for the general public; Day Pass $70; Closing Night Reception $35; Weekend Pass (includes Opening Night, All Day Pass for films, Closing Night Reception, T-Shirt and BHERC Commemorative Bag) $350.

The films are screened in blocks and are followed by a Q&A session with directors, cast and crew immediately following each film. To purchase tickets please visit www.BHERC.org or call (310) 284-3170.  For a complete list of the 2019 class of filmmakers, films and synopsis’s log on to www.bherc.org.
