EURweb correspondent Jill Munroe sat down with Harris, Colter, Grillo and Williams to discuss their roles in the film, southern hospitality in New Orleans and what Harris learned about American police relations.

Harris got her first experience of southern culture while filming in New Orleans. The actress is from London and her only experiences in America took place in either New York or Los Angeles.

As for those stunts you see her pulling off. When she initially was offered the role, she was told she wouldn’t have to do any of the stunts. That was a relief for Harris as she was recovering from an injury received working on another film. Things however changed once she got on set.

“they said they had an amazing stunt double… I wouldn’t even have to run… got there and the next thing I know, they were asking me to run, jump out of things, fall here, be punched, put in a choke hold. All kinds of things basically. Ultimately I had to do a lot of it in the end. I was totally unprepared but luckily I had my “Bond training” (Harris appeared in Skyfall as Miss Moneypenny.)

“Black and Blue” was directed by Deon Taylor ( Traffik, The Intruder.) It opens in theatres Friday, October 25.
