*Joshua Brown, the Dallas man who was gunned down three days after testify against killer cop Amber Guyger attempted to evade the courtroom drama by fleeing the state out of fear for his life.
Last week, a Dallas County jury sentenced Guyger to 10 years in prison after convicting her of murdering her unarmed neighbor Botham Jean in his apartment last year.
Lee Merritt, who represents the Jean family, said Brown (a key witness in the case) was concerned that testifying would put his life at risk. At one point during the trail, Judge Mammy Tammy shaded the young man by noting her shock that he even showed up to testify (see the disturbing clip below).
Many on social media have been quick to point out how the judge seemed to lack compassion for the brotha but showered the white female killer with love and Bible verses to help her cope with prison life and help her bounceback after she serves a light sentence.
Brown previously survived a shooting in November 2018 and the suspect remained at large. The Jean family has filed a civil case against the city of Dallas for the murder of Botham, and Joshua would have been one of their first witnesses.

The State knew Joshua Brown didn’t want to testify due to concerns for his safety. He flew to California when the trial began. They threatened him with jail if he didn’t return. He went straight from the airport to the court. Dallas County has a duty to protect him. They failed. pic.twitter.com/w3c2bdrwd3

“Josh was concerned that these people still meant him harm so when he was subpoenaed to testify against Amber Guyger he was conflicted,” Merritt wrote on Facebook. “He wanted to do the right thing.”
He said prosecutors pressured Brown, saying his testimony would help secure a conviction in Jean’s murder, New York Post reports.
“He, in turn, told prosecutors and the Court about the danger he felt was associated with him testifying in a public trial,” Merritt wrote. Brown ultimately decided that “it was just too dangerous.” So he fled Texas for California, but prosecutors threatened to issue a warrant for his arrest if he didn’t appear in court.
“So he got on a plane and came straight from the airport to the courthouse,” Merritt said.
Once he arrived, Brown met with Judge Mammy Tammy in her chambers and expressed his concerns, but he was still forced to taking the stand.
This Judge #TammyKemp in the 204th judicial District is no longer black! She is white as snow! She is white white! She’s a white supremacis just like #AmberGuyger! She should be no longer accepted in our community in any form or fashion! pic.twitter.com/iIOTmGWPWY

Merritt wants to know why measures weren’t taken to protect Brown during his testimony.
“They took steps to cut off cameras and instruct media not to report on an undercover cop that testified in Guyger’s trial,” Merritt said. “Why weren’t the same measures taken to protect Joshua Brown?”
Merritt added: “Nothing he testified to couldn’t have been brought in by other witnesses. It wasn’t worth his life,” he wrote.
Meanwhile, three people have been arrested in connection with Brown’s death. According to the Dallas PD, Jacquerious Mitchell, 20, Michael Mitchell, 32, and Thaddeous Green, 22, traveled from Alexandria, Louisiana, to purchase marijuana from Brown. But the alleged drug deal went south, shots were fired and Brown was left for dead.
“We received numerous tips that led us to execute a search warrant for Mr. Brown’s apartment. We confiscated 12 lbs. of marijuana, 149 grams of THC cartridges and $4,157 in cash,” the Dallas PD wrote on Twitter.
However, many on social media are convinced the white supremacists who have infiltrated the precinct are responsible for Brown’s death, and folks are flooding DPD’s Twitter timeline to slam the fantastical narrative that’s being pushed.
In response to the criticism, DPD followed up with another tweet, saying: “The rumors shared by community leaders that Mr. Brown’s death was related to the Amber Guyger trial and that DPD was responsible are false. We encourage those leaders to be mindful because their words may jeapordize the integrity of the city of Dallas and DPD.”
One twitter user responded to the post by noting: “Can’t hurt the integrity of a police department that produced a cop who killed someone because she forgot where she lives. That would be bad!”
Peep some other reactions to the “official story” regarding Brown’s murder below:
Wait – let me get this straight. Joshua is meeting these people for a “drug” buy. You listed this detailed “struggle,” where Josh is shot and killed, “perps” run off with his gun and backpack…but no weed??
Shit. I wish I could write fiction this good.#JusticeForJoshuaBrown

So the guy in the Dragonball Z T-shirt during a murder trial was involved in not just a regular drug deal ($100 weed) but one with 3 armed (black) drug dealers and we needed the (black) cop (first-time appearance) to conduct the news briefing to tell the public? OK. Got it.

Oh no…..according to Dallas PD this guy was the real life version of Ghost just playing a normal everyday citizen in court as James St Patrick cause he’s so BIG TIME he has the balls to testify against the law w pounds of weed stashed in his apt ??

So Dallas PD is trying to tell us:
*Joshua Brown was smart enough to move weight under the radar and not get caught, even as he testified in a high profile case*But he was dumb enough to conduct a drug deal with some dudes from out of town, right outside his apartment? pic.twitter.com/3HmRtySLON

They drove 300 miles for weed? Sure hey did. He was killed by the police.
— Henry (@henryslist) October 8, 2019
There is not one drug dealer on planet earth who is moving that much weight and would testify in open court against a cop. ??not??a??damn??one!!!

So, a drug dealer testified in open court against a police officer. Didn’t get rid of his stash. Got shot in a parking lot. Then the DPD got some tips that this dead drug dealer was a drug dealer. Information that they didn’t have before.

I’m actually offended by how patently ridiculous this Dallas PD story is.
If Joshua Brown was a drug dealer, we woulda known already bc it would’ve come up during cross examination!
Also, Louisiana has plenty of weed. Zero people are driving 4 hours for weed. https://t.co/vrna4m0r95

I think I’ve found the murderer’s current location pic.twitter.com/KTWKWScZZB

To me I think they took the witness out so when she has a retrial there ain’t no witness so she would be able to walk free I think our justice system is the most corrupt system out there
— Brad Johnson (@BradJoh31070310) October 8, 2019
You not driving to Texas from Louisiana to try to rob the nigga before you get to his stash lol. If they wanted to rob somebody for a lil eighth they coulda done that in Louisiana bruh. Ion know how many licks you’ve hit but this story is unlikely
