*For those who speculated that the killing of Joshua Brown, the man (Botham Jean’s neighbor) who testified against ex-cop Amber Guyger, couldn’t have been over drugs, guess what?
As of now, Dallas police have three suspects in custody. On Tuesday, Dallas PD held a press conference and said that the three men were from Alexandria, LA and that they’d traveled to Dallas to purchase drugs from Joshua Brown.
It seems a disagreement popped off and that Brown shot one of the men in the chest, according to police who also say that one of the three men, Thaddeous Green, then fired at Brown twice … ultimately killing him. The suspect who was shot was treated in a local area hospital and is now in police custody. The 2 others are being sought on warrants for their arrest, reports TMZ.

Of course, this development comes in the wake of mass speculation that Joshua Brown’s killing was in retaliation for his recent testimony against Amber Guyger which helped to secure a guilty conviction of murder. Guyger was sentenced to 10 years in prison for the crime.
Then just a couple of days after Guyger’s verdict and sentencing, Brown was shot and killed in Dallas, causing outrage all around the country. Some folks even claimed he was targeted in some way and demanded answers.
Now that these arrests are on the books, it’ll be interesting to see if people will chill with those nefarious thoughts about Joshua Brown’s death. Either way, there’s no doubt that Dallas PD was feeling the pressure over the situation.
In related news … we heard from Akini Jeffrey, producer of the Streetz Morning Takeover on Streetz 94.5 hosted by Yungjoc, Comedian Shawty Shawty and co-host Moquick. He hit us up to let us know that T.I. stopped by yesterday morning – prior to the arrest of the 3 men in conjunction with Joshua Brown’s killing – to talk about Brown’s case.
T.I. was very vocal about the situation and how we should prepare ourselves moving forward.
