Marlon Wayans’ Cleveland Brown Lawsuit Ordered to Be Reconsidered by CA Supreme Court [VIDEO]

*Marlon Wayans legal drama with the man he compared to the “Family Guy” character Cleveland Brown a few years back.

We previously reported how Marlon came out on top with a court victory over  Pierre Daniel, who sued the comedian in 2015 for racially harassing him on the set of “Haunted House 2” by posting a side-by-side pic of him with the cartoon character, captioning it, “Tell me this n**** don’t look like … THIS N****!!! Ol Cleveland Brown ass lookin.”

In his lawsuit, Daniel sued Marlon and the movie’s production company for unspecified damages. Despite his argument, the judge in the case sided with Wayans as he ruled that, “The Cleveland Brown character, like [Pierre], obviously black, heavy … with curly ‘Afro’ hair were all incorporated humorously into the filming of the scene.”

“I am grateful that the judge upheld our constitutional rights of free speech,” Wayans told TMZ at the time. “It’s the first amendment and probably the most important for a comedian. This is also a stride toward protecting public figures from often bogus claims and lawsuits. I am grateful. Now if you’ll excuse me I’m gonna go watch reruns of The Cleveland Show.”

Now … the CA Supreme Court has weighed in on the matter.

In a surprising twist, the CA Supreme Court has told a lower appeals court to reconsider Wayans’ win in a 2015 ruling that he did NOT do anything wrong in the case over the viral meme. TMZ ran into the comic and actor Monday at LAX, where the shared his thoughts about the reopening of the case.

Marlon says Pierre should be thanking him for putting him on and “upgrading” him instead of suing him.

Hear him tell it via the clip above.
