*President Donald Trump never turns down his level of petty, so he was back on the attack over the weekend — firing shots at “AM Joy” host Joy-Ann Reid Saturday morning ahead of her MSNBC show, asking, “Who the hell is Joy-Ann Reid?”
An hour before Reid’s show began, Trump tweeted, “Who the hell is Joy-Ann Reid? Never met her, she knows ZERO about me, has NO talent, and truly doesn’t have the ‘it’ factor needed for success in showbiz. Had a bad reputation, and now works for the Comcast/NBC losers making up phony stories about me. Low Ratings. Fake News!”
It’s unclear what about Reid set him off, but she is a long-standing critic of Trump, and the author of the New York Times best seller “The Man Who Sold America: Trump and the Unraveling of the American Story.”

She also guest-hosted Chris Hayes’ MSNBC show “All In” on Friday night, where she covered Trump’s recent reference to Vice President Mike Pence as “Mike Pounce.”
Trump could have also been triggered by two segments from the show posted to MSNBC’s site that are titled: “Air Force: Trump’s money grab is a risk to national security” and “Mike Pence cleans up after Donald Trump in Baltimore,” per TheWrap.
Trump’s tweet set off a fury of responses defending Reid:
During Reid’s show “AM Joy”on Saturday, she once again covered Trump — listing all the reasons why he should be impeached.
“Democrats who already favor impeachment have a grab bag of potentially impeachment offenses to choose from,” Reid said. “Time is running out, and the drumbeat of impeachment in Nancy Pelosi’s divided caucus is getting louder.”
As noted by the Daily Mail, journalist David Leavitt asked why Trump attacks “strong successful women?”
“Follow @JoyAnnReid and find out!” he tweeted, adding the hashtags #TrumpIsARacist and #ImpeachTrumpNow.
NBC News and MSNBC legal analyst Maya Wiley noted the upside to the president’s tweet about: “Trump just sold your book for you!” she wrote to her colleague.
