From the family of Motown alum Nathan McKalpain Jr.: “It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Nathan McKalpain Jr. On Wednesday, September 11, 2019, after a brief illness.”
He was a Motown pioneer and brother-in-law to Berry Gordy by marriage to Gordy’s sister Gwen. He became the Road Manager for The Supremes after their breakthrough hit “Where Did Our Love Go” in 1964. More about his illustrious career at Motown will follow.
