*Nigeria’s Postwar and Contemporary Artist and Painter Segun Adejumo’s FREUDIAN TONES London exhibition is at Old Brompton Gallery, Kensington, London SW5  – Curated by Jade Art Studios, the exhibition is on till 14th September.

Adejumo studied Fine Arts at Yaba College of Technology, Lagos Nigeria. His paintings lean towards stylized and recognizable images of people and places. The exhibition is made up of old and new works of one of Nigeria’s leading Painters.

Adejumo who flew into London for the SOLO EXHIBITION founded the One Draw Gallery and was former President of Guild of Professional Fine Artists in Nigeria. His private viewing was well attended by Patrons, art lovers, friends and colleagues in the field of art.

Speaking with Art curator, Ronke Bolanle of the commendable Jade Art Studios, she explained that she had an initial discussion with Adejumo in 2017 about exhibiting his paintings in London and at the Gallery and as a result, the twelve beautifully framed collections are on display at the Gallery.

TAYO Fatunla is an award-winning Nigerian Comic Artist, Editorial Cartoonist, Writer and Illustrator. He is a graduate of the prestigious Kubert School, in New Jersey, US. and recipient of the 2018 ECBACC Pioneer Lifetime Achievement Award for his illustrated OUR ROOTS creation and series – Famous people in Black History – He participated in the UNESCO’s Cartooning In Africa forum held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
